Name: Mars and Venus Variety:Chardonnay Region:Central Valley Country:Chile Year: 2013(note online sheet didn't say) Price: $5.95 Winery review: A very nice value Chardonnay that comfortably over-delivers vs. its modest price tag. No oak here, just bushels of clean, crisp, Chardonnay apple and stone fruit with a hint of caramelized pineapple.  Juicy and clean, this is a mid-weight white that's just perfect for parties or weeknight sipping. My review: Definitely was not a fan of this one. It tasted as if i was drinking a little flavor added to some water it wasn't exactly bad but again wasn't enough of a taste to actually make me want to buy it even at its very low price.I wouldn't recommend personally unless it is to someone who wants to have a gentle first step into wines. ***I did not eat anything with this wine***

Cortenova

Name: Cortenova Variety:Pinot Grigio Region:Veneto Country:Italy Year: 2013 Price: $6.95 Winery review:  Brilliant straw color with emerald reflections. Fresh and floral bouquet with a hint of pears, apricots and bananas. Fresh and inviting with bright fruit and an easy drinking style with a pleasing hint of almonds in the aftertaste. My review: I actually liked this one which I found surprising I usually don't like white wines. Though I have been starting to expose myself to Pinot Grigio because its not as strong as other white wines thus I have actually come to find that I like Pinot Grigio's this to me personally didn't have too much of a taste but the aftertaste like said above had a nutty aftertaste. ***I did not eat anything with this wine***

Crane Lake Riesling

Name: Crane Lake Variety: Riesling Region:California  Country:USA Year: 2013 Price: $5.95 Winery review:Punchy lime and lemon mark this off-dry Riesling with a staccato rhythm, adding edge to honeyed tones of peach and honeysuckle. Exceptionally priced, it’s satisfying and elegant. My review: Bleh, my reaction to the finish of this wine tasting. I was not a fan of this one at all. I liked that it was a bit lime and lemon like but honestly the rest of the taste didn't match with the mix of lemon and lime was really sweet and didn't like that in my opinion honestly. I would say that I would try again to see if i would still have that reaction but we only get 1 tasting per wine. Honestly wouldn't recommend this one and not much to say aside that it was sweet and and odd mix. If i cut it with a little water or something to tone the sweet taste down I might have liked it but then that's just rude and against the idea of the wine. ***I did not eat anything with this wine***

Crane Lake Petite

Name: Crane Lake Variety: Petite Sirah Region:California  Country:USA Year: 2013 Price: $5.95 Winery review:Shows a certain rustic simplicity now, with youthfully jammy flavors of blackberries, cherries and currants, sprinkled with cocoa and pepper and wrapped into dusty tannins. My review: I actually liked this one and was surprised too since as I was getting the tasting I was told this one would be simpler then most i've ever tried before. I actually like that to me it tasted like something you would definitely have to eat something with it so that it can contrast the flavor of the food. I was sad that I didn't bring any food or snacks to test my theory and since by this time I already set my sights to buy the yellow tail I told myself to come back again and buy a bottle to test my theory. But back to the wine it was quite simple as said before it was like a berry bath mixed with wine but again wasn't really a great strong taste but seemed that it had to be paired with something. That it was needing something I really cant explain my feeling i had with this one aside from that I felt that it needed something. ***I did not eat anything with this wine***

Yellow Tail Reserve

Name: Yellow Tail Reserve Variety: Merlot Region:South Eastern Country:Australia Year: 2010 Price: $12 (sale for $6.95) Winery review:Round, velvety and mouthfilling, this is a satisfying Merlot at a bargain price. Aromas of black cherries and herbs fold in hints of cinnamon and mocha, while the flavors are generally fruity, but with a slightly tomatoey note. Soft on the finish. Drink now.  My review: Yay Merlot that I have tried once before this class showed up! I actually like merlots and this one as I have said before Ive tried before.I lie the fact that when you drink darker red wines the taste tends to overload your senses in your mouth. The cinnamon taste was a new spin on this one for me though but I enjoyed it it also had the nice trait of actually dying down in taste as it finished unlike other red wines ive had before but I was excited when I was going to try this one again. I would reccomend this one to anyone who likes merlots since this is a unique spin on a good taste. I bought this one this week was happy that it was cheaper too! ***I did not eat anything with this wine***

Takutai

Name: Takutai Variety: Pinot Gris Region:Nelson  Country:New Zealand Year: 2009 Price: $21 (sale for $6.95) Winery review:Since this wine weighs in at 14%, the fruit was clearly very ripe. That ripeness is reflected in the flavors as well, which feature nectarine and honey accented by hints of white pepper. It’s full bodied and lush, with a long finish that mingles the sensations of sweet and spicy. My review: This one was quite weird. its had a peppery taste as the review above says and I thought that this would put me off since pepper is a very strong taste in foods. Honestly though the mix with sweetness and citrus was unique i really haven't had anything like this before and while it was quite cheap compared to what it would be normally i opted out of buying this one since I usually only buy one of the wines each week to share. Though I would honestly tell others to give this one a taste its honestly one that I would say you have to try at least once to just experience it.Also the name is fun to say out loud! ***I did not eat anything with this wine***

Mars& Venus

Name: Mars & Venus Variety: Sauvignon Blanc Region:La Mancha Country: Spain Year: 2013 Price: $10 (sale for $5.95) Winery review: Citrus and gooseberry aromas are mild but typical of the variety. A basic citrus palate delivers modest tangerine and nectarine flavors which lead to a mild, pithy finish showing light citric notes. My review: I didn't like this one entirely. I am not a big fan of Sauvignon Blanc's so i might have had a negative connotation before actually trying the wine but still this one had a nice after taste of citrus and a slight alcoholically finish that normally makes me shudder slightly each time. I would say this one is decent because i was not shuddering as I finished this wine but still I wouldn't go out of my way to try it again sadly. ***I did not eat anything with this wine***
