Petrucco

Name: Petrucco
Variety: Ribolla Gialla
Region: Friuli
Country: Italy
Year: 2009
Price: $21 (sale for $7.95)

Winery review:
This well-priced Friulano would pair nicely with spicy Indian or Thai food thanks to the creaminess and richness of its mouthfeel. In addition, the wine offers a solid bouquet of peach and melon that would not compete with fragrant ingredients 100% Ribolla Gialla.

My review: This one I had mixed feelings with honestly. It kinda seemed to wash all tastes out of my mouth and replace it with the wine which was a bit fruity but surprisingly creamy which I haven't experienced truly. By that I mean usually when I taste things my taste buds seem to be lacking and i either get a bitter or sour or sweet taste with hints of flavors and nothing more. Yet with this one I could actually tell the taste/texture of creamy if that is a thing one can describe. I was tempted to by a bottle since it was a fairly reduced price but decided not to since I didn't have an immediate positive feeling towards it. I would recommend it if for no other reason that I was able to taste a different type of flavor but I feel i need more than just one taste to figure if I truly like it or was just surprised at the new experience.

Le Jade

Name: La Jade
Variety: Sauvigon Blanc
Region: Languedoc
Country:France
Year: 2013
Price: $10 (sale for $5.95)

Winery review: "Silvery straw color. Lively aromas and flavors of pineapple, yellow apple, melon, and Meyer lemon with a silky, bright, dry-yet-fruity medium body and a tingling, complex, medium-long finish with notes of lemongrass, pear, and lemon with no tannins and no oak. Bright and crisp with layers of juicy pineapple, pear, lemongrass and ripe melon make this perfect for repeated sipping or enhancing fresh farm to table cookery.

My review: Yep A white wine that again. Just as others I still don't have a taste for white wines. This one was honestly not good in my point of view even after the server told me that it was ranked rather highly I couldn't help but wince as I drank it. To me it taste far too sweet and then does a change to a bitterness that i didn't particularly like it was also a bit to dry and felt like it lingered on my tongue until i drank the Shiraz soon after. I am sure to those that like white wines they would enjoy this one but still have yet to have one that i liked fully. Would recommend to those that like white wines else I wouldn't should they  share my taste for reds or darker more tart tastes. Price was rather nice though so that was something
